Research & Development
The Engineering Department within SubSea Technology (SST) has established a research and development (R&D) program. The primary function of the R&D Program is investigative activities with the goal of addition of new or the improvement of existing equipment, procedures and processes for the SubSea Technology product lines. SubSea Technology also provides R&D services to select customers supplying engineering, facilities, and specialized test equipment.
The R&D Program is supported by SST’s Engineering Department conveniently located in Houston, Texas. SST’s Engineering staff consists of an experienced group of engineers with a range of expertise in the oil and gas industry including design and development. Support facilities include static and dynamic pressure, temperature, load and flow simulation for empirical testing. State of the art data acquisition systems are used to collect and fully document the necessary measurements in all phases of testing. The facilitites also include test well that allow testing of assemblies to monitor and ensure compatibility of the components within the assembly.
